Upon viewing live video The spotlight command on-screen switch does not activate the spotlight anymore on any of my cameras. everything else works fine I don't know if it was the latest update with the Smart hub or with the app. The light intensity slider is grayed out on both cameras and after about 20 seconds, a blue bar appears at the bottom of the screen and it says operation failed.

Just1rob,
Which app are you using (iOS or Android). Does this always happen or is the issue intermittent? If you reinstall the mobile app, do you still experience the same behavior?

I have the same issue on 4k ultra. When in 4k live view the spotlight will not activate when toggling spotlight icon. The icon can be toggled but spotlight does not come on. BUT if you turn off 4k live streaming manual spotlight activation works as it should. App, cam, and base all current firmware and so is my S22 Ultra. What gives? Plz fix asap! This is always not intermittent.

Android. The manual spotlight worked one time in the last couple weeks.
I have yet to reinstall the mobile app but I shall do so and update this post

Uninstalled and reinstalled the app on my Galaxy s20. To no avail. Use of the spotlight when watching live video still comes up with "operation failed" on all three of my cameras.

Just1rob,
Try removing and resyncing one of the cameras, then test that camera to see if you still experience the same behavior.

James, not sure eif this was ever resolved but I found out that if your streaming in anything above 1080 then the spotlight will not manually activate?!

same. Can’t activate the spotlight in 4k live stream view on 4 cameras.
However, my oldest ultra camera always has color night vision even tho the spotlight isn’t turned on.
And these 4 cameras are on free trial, while the oldest cam has a secure plus subscription.
