Is there any table or listing of which cameras are compatible with the different hub models?
I want to know if I can buy a 2k camera and add it to an existing network but I’m finding the product information a bit fragmented and confusing to follow.
Cheers

Thank you Tom Mack
Your link led to link Xanadu and I was able to find the answer to my confusion. I think.

Yes, the 2k camera is compatible with my current 4k Ultra hub.

I believe the new Pro3 cameras are 2K.... right now they only work on the newer Smarthub which also supports the Ultra camera.
The older hubs do not support them at this time, TMK.

Tom:
I may be wrong, but I believe Arlo older base station VMB4000 is supposed to work with AP3.

Hi Paul
You’re belief is correct. However, there are also other variations.
This is from the Arlo FAQ.
VMB5000 and VMB4540
When you pair your Pro 3 camera with the VMB5000 or VMB4540, you can experience Local 2K Live Streaming, Local 2K Storage, and Auto Zoom and Tracking (up to 1080p).
VMB4000
When you pair your Pro 3 with the VMB4000, you can experience Local 2K Live Streaming and Local 2K Storage. You will need a USB device to enable Local 2K Storage.
VMB4500
Pairing your Pro 3 camera with the VMB4500 lets you stream and record in 1080p video resolution.
VMB3500 and 3000
The Arlo Pro 3 camera is not compatible with either of these base stations

Hi Hemmer,
looks like the only difference in features listed for AP3 when connected to a VMB4000 (vs. VMB4540) comes down to Auto Zoom and Tracking. For everything else they do the same things.
Not sure whether that makes it worth the base station upgrade for current users of Pro and AP2 cameras connected to a VMB4000.
Thanks!
