Geofencing in the new Arlo App Version 4.17 (7924) does not seem to work at all. I have tried to reset everything that I possibly can to get geofencing to work but still no luck. Is there a procedure available to step me through what I have to do to have success?

The app hasn't changed (although you may have installed a new version) but the user interface (UI) may have. Do you now see Library to view recordings (old UI) or Feed (new UI)? The apps have supported both UIs for some time now.

I have same issue with Arlo Secure Version 4.19(8201) installed on Aug.2024. I was on the calls with Arlo techs for couple times and hours, but the issue still not be fixed. Any idea and help?

@Charlesdli Can you update to the latest version of the Arlo mobile app and test again. Also, can you provide more detail regarding the symptom you are experiencing?

Hi Charlesdli,
You would not believe the solution! Go to the Privacy Center. Select the Account tab. Select Available Geofence Devices. Check if the name of the device(s) you have listed has an apostrophe in the name (eg. Your Name’s iPhone). Remove the apostrophe. You may also want to remove any other devices that are not required to geofence.
Go back to the Routines/Automations and select your device with the new name as the Geofence devise you want for Arrive/Leave. Make sure no apostrophes in name.
The software is OK but the user interface can be a whole lot better especially when you think that in the 21st century, the software coders can’t resolve apostrophes in names! It happens with a number of apps I use as my surname has an apostrophe in it.
