I need to connect 1 camera Pro 3 that is out of range for the Smarthub VMB4540.
Have 3 existing camera's VMC4040P. I understood form this community that those can't be connected by wifi-router.
As 1 camera is out of range and I have no way of repositioning the SmartHub, I'm considering to purchase 1 new camera that is able to connect with Wifi Router.
- Would that work? 2 cam's directly to SmartHub, 1 new camera via wifi-router
- Which camera would you advice as the new camera that can connect via wifi-router?

Yes. Though you won't get local storage for the wifi-connected camera.

Options are the Pro 3 Floodlight, the Pro 4, and the Essential.
The Essential is less expensive than the Pro 4, but personally I'd go with the Pro 4. The battery in the Pro 4 is replaceable (and removing/reinserting it is a way to restart the camera, which isn't possible with the Essential).
