I live in Kentucky and the temperatures have been 80-90 degrees. At the end of September one of my cameras said low temperature and needs to warm up. The other camera isn’t having that problem and temperatures are above 60 right now and haven’t had the issue when the temps were in the teens in the winter! Is it the battery or do I need another camera and if so would it it be better to get the Pro 4?

Could be a bad camera but first try removing and reconnecting it to see if it happens again.

This occurred weeks ago and I’ve taken the battery out numerous times. I just purchased a new battery today and waiting for it to arrive to see if it is a battery issue or camera issue before spending over a hundred for a new camera. 🤞🏽Hopefully just a battery issue unless someone has been through the same.

Got my new battery and installed it. As it turned out I needed to replace my battery. As it would appear, just like most batteries that are rechargeable, the constant charging will wear it down through out it’s long use and will need eventual replacing. The low temperature issue though doesn’t explain whether it is the battery or camera. When says it’s the camera but in reality it’s the battery, that didn’t help any. I just ordered another one for my other camera because it is showing red but shows charging. Knowing this now, should help if you experience the same thing.

The red lighting bolt now means it is fully charged so not charging or no sun to charge with recent change. Red is a bad color for 100% charged. Not sure if you have a bad battery for that cam but at least you will have a spare. A mod says the development team is looking into that so don't know if it is going to change or what.
