Hi I've owned Arlo cameras for many years, had the hd ones first, then got the pro 2 set in January sent them back as picture and sound is a bit naff for 1080p.
Anyway I've just received my black pro 3 set, in different league from pro 2.
I came across an issue, today is very windy so cameras going off every minute, I thought ah I will try the new activity zones, made no difference. I made boxes 1ft square still constant notifications.
I was pulling my hair out then thought I wonder if I turn off track and zoom... Activity zones now seem work perfectly, time will tell...
Is this normal?

Arlo has had a lot of complaints about activity zones not working correctly. I have been told that the team is working on it.

On my pro 3's if there is a lot of wind the cameras will pick up the shadows moving from the trees. I have went to the smart notifications and turned off other motion & vehicles on two of my cameras but it has not seemed to help. I understand that there was a new firmware update recently but I'm not sure what it covers. Also my cameras seem to pick up a lot more false stuff and stuff outside of the activity zones when running on ac power as opposed to battery power.

I also turned off track and zoom on mine. While it did help, I still have the problems.

I'm glad yours are on a/c power as I've noticed my 3 second look back doesn't work either, how about yours?

So just to confirm how it works you get a second or so of footage before you see the object

In that instance yes as the cat was coming from the side of the camera. It really depends on the angle the object is coming from in relation to the camera.

Here is another of a vehicle coming straight towards the camera. It just backed it up the 3 seconds.

Thanks, I've tried hiding next the camera and going straight in front of it, done a restart still no joy

Excellent managed to get it to work by unplugging the hub for a few minutes, well pleased.
Hope there's a setting to remove the blue light though
