Try rebooting the hub as well as reinserting the camera battery.

I am experiencing the same problem. I have restarted hub with software restart and a power reboot. Restarted camera with a battery removal.

Tried to update from app/webpage no difference. Camera starts to blink and dose a restart and back to telling me that it has the same update available for me.

Same for me. Tried removing the camera from the hub and adding it back and same thing, it works for a few then starts to say an update is required. only camera out of the 4 that I have that it is getting stuck on. Tried moving it closer to the hub to do the update but no luck still.

Hi, i faced the same problem in 2 of 4 cams, but finally fixed it. i tried more than 100 times to update firmware but all cannot success.

when i back home and wasted 2 hour to try, First, i update the arlo app in my mobile phone(android), and i discover that the hub may not work normally, and i removed device of the cams which cannot update firmware, and setup new device.

while the light of the hub changed to blue, and showed firmware required to update, i press to update, it may not success update firmware in once,  try several times, then reboot the hub(it may show "camera is busy......) then you,can pick out the power from the hub and put it in, then check the firmware,  the firmware updated. and the second cam, i reboot the hub, and do the above procedure several times...

i just share my experience to update firmware, hope that can help you guys which faced the same problem.

for the easy way to see

1, update arlo software of the mobilephone

2, remove device(cams which cannot update firmware)

3, setup devices

4, reboot the hub

5,  when you see the cam require to update firmware in arlo app, click to update

6, if not.success, try several times, then reboot the hub.

7, check the cam fitmware

8, if not.success, or.need to update other cams, repeat 2~7

Same issue.

I have now created a new account with new email, factory reset the base, factory reset the cameras and started again with a new account.

The base is fine, 1 camera is fine, and the 2nd camera still says firmware update.

I have tried unlinking the cameras, and finding them again, leaving them close to wifi router and base over night, and the various different ways to manually do update through mobile app.

Nothing works,

Arlo has been a nightmare for me for 3 years since I bought the pro 3s, absolute garbage.

The tech is just way to unreliable for security.
