Hi Arlo Support,
I have an Arlo Floodlight camera connected to an original Arlo solar panel. The issue is that the camera charges very slowly, even when there is direct and strong sunlight for several hours a day.
I’ve checked the following:
- The panel is mounted correctly and facing the sun
- There is no shade from trees, buildings, or other obstructions
- The cable and connection appear to be in good condition
- The camera is up to date and works fine aside from the charging issue
I’m wondering:
- Can the solar panel provide enough power for the Floodlight model?
- Could there be a fault with the panel or the battery?
- Does the Floodlight consume more power than the solar panel can supply – even under optimal sunlight conditions?
Is this a known issue? Are there any solutions or troubleshooting steps you can recommend?
Thank you in advance for your help.
Best regards,
jafir

The floodlight has a much larger battery than most other Arlo cameras so charging via a solar panel will take much longer. You may want to charge the battery fully and then connect the panel to keep it charged.
