I was kinda hoping this already exists, but it’s definitely an important feature.

I have a floodlight facing my bedroom. I want it to go on for people, but it’s really annoying that my cats also trigger it.

Now since I can already set the camera to distinguish between people and animals, why can’t I set the light to do the same?

To be clear, the Arlo Cloud is distinguishing between people and animals - not the camera.  It does that from the video being streamed from the camera.  Since this requires that the video be streamed, the floodlight will trigger on all motion.

One option is to set up activity zones to exclude the areas where the cats are (floor for instance).  That might not be possible given the camera angle.

You can also try decreasing the motion sensitivity.
