We have a flood light camera and it does not start recording until the subject is within about 4 feet of the camera.  Why does it not record all movement within its view?

The usual suspects are 1) motion direction with detection best when movement is across the FOV, 2) the sensitivity settings in your modes and rules and 3) camera positioning with the camera aimed mainly at the are of real interest (I.e. not the street or sky).

A screenshot of the camera view with a description as to how motion is normally seen could be useful.

Also, is this a new symptom?  Or has the camera always acted this way?
