I have an Arlo Pro 3 Floodlight (FB1001). When motion triggers the camera and floodlight to turn on, the light comes on but is very dim...looks to be at the lowest 5% level. I don't know when exactly this started but it seems to be within the last month or two. I know it used to go to what I have it set to which is at 70-80%. I can intervene while it's recording, just touching the brightness slider in the iOS app and it will get brighter. When manually turning on the floodlight in the app, it will turn on at the brighness I select. Here's what I've tried for troubleshooting with no change.
-Tried all combinations of camera settings in the app that can be changed
-Tested it with and without the outdoor AC power cord (I typically always have it connected)
-Tested it inside near my Arlo base station
-Power cycled the camera (remove battery, wait a minute, re-installed)
-Power cycled the hub
-Removed the camera from my system and added it back
Camera Firmware: 1.080.30.3_42_3516c1d (camera info says "no updates available"), Hardware: H6.
It's connected to my Arlo Base Station: VMB4000r3, Base Firmware: 1.26.0.0_4712_12a0681
Is there anything else I can do to fix this?
Is anyone else having the same experience or insight?
Does Arlo staff monitor these messages where they will try & help me?

Best to send it in a private message (using the envelope icon at the top right of the forum page):
If you don't see the envelope icon, click on your profile name and then "My Settings" Look for this configuration screen:
and make sure the option is turned on.
I suggest putting the video sample in cloud storage (google drive, dropbox, icloud, etc), and send a download link in the PM. Best to set the permissions so anyone with the link can download it.

I also have the pro 3 floodlight and on the motion sensor activated, one of the lights comes on at full power as normal and the other has started coming on a little less brighter. I how arlo will respond to this issue.

Hi, thankfully I have now sent my 8 Arlo cameras to the trash. Didn’t even feel like selling them as wouldn’t put anyone through years of endless hardware & software issues, now with this latest problem with their floodlights was the end for me & Arlo.
All I can suggest is send them videos but don’t expect a quick fix as they are all about the money now. Maybe they should concentrate on fixing their current cameras instead of releasing new overpriced versions. Anyhow good luck.

Hi Brooke,
Please see link below. Took me a while to replicate this, please compare the brightness when it's triggered by motion (twice in the video) vs triggered by the app approx 80% brightness towards the end. It seems that when triggered by motion it only goes to 1% or thereabouts. Camera is powered by Arlo outdoor cable/adapter.

I've sent some photos/videos/screenshots in as well.
For me it's fairly easy to reproduce:
- Trigger camera, light is dim even when set to 100%
- Change camera brightness in app, light goes to correct brightness
- When camera is triggered again, light is dim
I've also noticed that the 'boost' mode is missing from the slider and it only goes to 100% (previously there was an additional ? 20% that was unlocked only when hardwired.

I am having the same issue, it started a few weeks ago.
Above is the 100% light level output with the motion sensor.
This is 100% output if manually activated, and this was the previous motion activated output.

@AG66 we suggest migrating to the new UX. To do so you will go into Add a Device->Cameras->Pro Series->Pro 5s 2k then he will be prompted for Upgrade to Continue.
@LWEEKS I know you mentioned one of your Pro 3 Floodlights is working and the other is not. However, looking into it further I only see one on the account. Can you please provide more information regarding the other Pro 3?

Hi Brooke,
I don't seem to have a firmware update available. Currently on 1.080.31.0_27_aac10aa. I'm in Australia.
Thanks

I've seen this upgrading to new UI few times. What is it? How does one upgrade? Is it an app update? My app is up to date from Google Play, this app here

Follow the steps that BrookeN posted in the post above mine?
One issue is they have discontinued custom modes so you may need to change how your schedule/automations work

The update fixed half of my problem. One side is considerably dimmer still.

The update appeared to resolve the situation. The only issue I have noticed is that, if facing the product, the right LED output is notably less intense. I do appreciate the earlier assistance.

Thanks, managed to update the new UI, left side is now brighter than right side. No new firmware detected. Any chance we can get the right side to be as bright as the left?

I doubt there's a soft/firmware issue causing one side to be dimmer but it's possible. I would suspect a hardware problem instead.

Three people with right side dimness after the update doesn't sound like a hardware problem to me.

Make that four
It's quite hard to photograph but the right side is substantially dimmer (and turns off sooner)
