I don’t want the option for a total disarm. Why can’t I customize DISARM the same way I can customize ARM?

Right now, family members with shared privileges can turn off the system rather than turn it to SCHEDULE or some other baseline default of my choosing.

I want SCHEDULE to be the overriding base line and the “most disarmed” any user can select.

Armed is a default mode that gets you going and has some ability to be customized. You can't remove cameras from it, for instance. Disarmed is similar - it's global.

Read the FAQs here on creating custom modes and scheduling. Create as many custom modes as you need for various situations, having only the needed cameras in the rules. Any camera without a rule is disarmed.

I’ve got the custom modes figured out, thanks. What I don’t have figured out is how to disallow the selection of Disarmed as a mode entirely, preferably by deleting its existence, or by invalidating in with a schedule. Even if I select Disarm one day; I want it to automatically return to its scheduled mode the next day by default.

You can't disable/remove any of the default modes - Armed, Disarmed or Schedule. Nor can you somehow automatically switch from Disarmed to the schedule without actually setting the schedule to have a blank spot which means the cameras are disarmed.

You may need to take the additional access privileges away from the folks granted access - see the FAQ here on the difference between the two settings so you undertand.
