Since the arlo pro 2 cameras give 110 degrees of field of vision, are they considered 2.8mm? What if one were to be mounted at a narrow front door, would digital zoom have to be employed?

Actually, they're rated at 130 degrees, although we're told they're really a bit wider. Since we don't know the size of the sensor, we don't know the actual focal length (or vice versa). It's equivalent to a 10mm fisheye on a full-frame DSLR so the shorter focal lengths are probably closer.
