I get very lengthy videos files in the library after motion is detected on my two configured cameras. I have the default setting on one camera which is Record until activity stops, up to 300 sec. and the other camera is set to “Fixed” record for 120 sec. I got videos of 7:59 and 15:35... what is causing the extended record times? I have attached a picture of my library showing the 2 mentioned videos.

Nothing was attached.
I would try restarting the base first. If that doesn't help, remove one camera from Settings, My Devices, your camera and resync. Test again. Worst case, it may be useful to remove all devices and start fresh.
