I have been using Arlo Pro 2 (four Cams with the base station) since 2022, with the free Arlo 7-day cloud storage, that I have been enjoying it. However, I noticed since May 2025, my Arlo iOS App shows “No Plan”, and can no longer access any videos recording, it only allow live viewing. Login to my Arlo website, it is asking me to buy 30-day plan. Why Arlo removed the 7-day free plan that came with the product with no notification? How do I restore my 7-day free plan? May be it is time to stop buying Arlo product at all. Thanks.

The 7days arlo free storage for legacy devices is still being supported last I checked, unless you accepted or were forced into using the new app.
The approach, I believe is to scam you into purchasing a paid subscription for the cloud storage your already entitled to.
There are workarounds to restore the free cloud storage but they are being nobbled when using the new app.
You can try removing one camera from the account and adding it back again to see if the cloud storage starts working again although getting the app to add the device again may fail.

7-day cloud storage is available on both interfaces. That said, there have been issues with legacy cameras on both interfaces.

The risk here (with either interface) is that you will be unable to add the camera back to your account.
Though it might be the only option...
