Within the last few days, I am unable to stream live video using the My.Arlo web portal on any web browser (tried chrome, firefox, ie, etc). I have also tried connecting to different wifi networks and still have an issue when trying to use the web browser on a computer. I am, however, able to stream video using the mobile Arlo app on my iPhone. I am able to connect while using mobile data, and when connected to the wifi.

Hey jwittchow,

Try referring to this article to troubleshoot the problem with live streaming on the web client on your computer: Why can't I see Arlo video streams from a web browser?

I am having the same trouble ... just started recently. Up until recently I could open and stream live camera video on my computer. However, while I can still view all of my cameras using my iphone, I can no longer do so on my desktop. I am running windows 7 professional on the desktop. The only change I can think of is that I removed flash player when support ended. I followed the first set of instructions on here and forwarded the 2 UDP and TCP ports to my computer from the router (I didn't need to prior to this recent issue). I do have a firewall and virus protection, but also temporarily disabled those services while trying to narrow this issue down, but it didn't make any difference. Someone must know what is going on and have an answer ?  Thank you for any help you can give me.

Arlo stopped using flash before browser support ended, so it's not that.

"ports being open" is different from forwarding.  If 443 and 80 aren't open, then your computer won't be able to access any web sites on the internet (as these ports are used for http and https).

You shouldn't be forwarding these ports, it allows anyone on the internet to try and access your PC using them.  And of course you are using an outdated OS, which is no longer getting security updates.

Are you able to access the library from the PC?  Or is that also failing?

Are you using the same username/password for my.arlo.com as you are for the desktop app?

What browser are you using?

Hi Steve,

I have still been unable to use the my.arlo portal to stream on desktop. I have, however, found an alternative method that perhaps you could use also. I downloaded Bluestacks, which is basically an Android device emulator for PCs and Mac. Once I downloaded that, I got the Arlo app from the Play Store and was able to log in and stream on desktop. Its a weird work around but so far it has been successful.

Hope this helps

I don't use the pay service so I don't have anything in my library .... although it appears that I can access it but just don't have any saved clips or files. I have used google chrome, mozilla firefox, and microsoft edge .. all three browser with the same result .... the request to access the cameras always times out. However, I do notice that every time I try to get the live stream and it times out  - the picture in the box changes to the most current view like it took a snapshot ... easy to see this when I try to access my camera both during the day and at night. I do also use the same camera login on my phone and desktop .... but my phone logs out when I login from my desktop. I have no idea what has changed that is causing this.

Have you tried restarting the PC?

Maybe also try restarting the base station.

I tried that .... no change ..... just a timed out request .... and then a still view of the current picture of what the camera sees ......   😞

Did you change something in your home network (new router, wifi access points), or just change the way the PC connects to the internet?

No ... didn't change a thing. I don't understand why I can log in to my arlo account .... see all of my cameras and base station ... see battery charge on all cameras (and it does show the new battery percentage when I change a battery) .... and times out but changes to the a current still image view in my camera windows. I tried this through my wired ethernet laptop and also through wireless connecting on windows 10 with my laptop .... both of which do the same thing. They both used to stream any camera live view without issue so I am at a loss on what has happened.

Me too.  my.arlo.com is working for me, and I'm not thinking of any good next steps for you.

You could try rebooting your network (router and any switches) I guess.  Or remove everything from your account and re-add it.  But it's not clear that will fix anything (and sometimes the second option results on on-boarding issues).
