I have seen the closed board that covered this topic back in February 2024 but this has just happened to my husband.
He cannot access the modes to turn the cameras off and on. This is only happening on his I-phone which is operating on IOS 17.7 (Iphone Xr). App version is 5.0.2.
I too have done all the reset, delete and reload, log out, log in, cancel sharing and reinstalling it and nothing seems to work.
How was this fixed please?

The development team is currently testing a fix that will be made available in an upcoming version of the Arlo app that we hope to release very soon. Once we have more information available about this release, we will provide an update. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.

The development team was able to reproduce the issue as described and is continuing to work toward a solution. As soon as we have more information available, we'll post an update.

We are still currently investigating this behavior. I will update the community as soon as possible.

Prior to doing anything just moments ago, I confirmed that my wife’s account still could not arm or disarm our system.
However, I want to report that my wife’s account started working after troubleshooting again. I had her log out of her account (shared account) on her phone.
Next, I logged in as her on MY phone. Once all the security protocols were confirmed, I was able to see her account and full functionality of the Arlo System. I have an iPhone 16 running the latest Beta software. I then logged out of her account.
On her phone, logging back in, still did not have full functionality over the system. So, I logged her out, deleted the Arlo app, and rebooted her phone. She has an iPhone 15 running the latest NON beta version.
After the phone rebooted, I reinstalled the Arlo app and logged into her account. Now she has full control as before over our system where she can Arm and Disarm.
Perhaps someone else can try what I did and see if they can get things restored.

Hi all,
I did not have to do anything at all and my problem is now fixed. I can see the shared account and change modes etc. I suppose this is something that Arlo finally decided to do. I hope they do not break it again.
Thanks.

Hi All
I updated Hubby and son's phones to IOS18, and the Arlo app to 5.2. (Both phones are Iphone XR)
Then deleted and reinstalled the app and everything seems to be working again.
Fingers are definitely crossed that this is a permanent fix.

After reading these posts today, I deleted the app, and its data, then reinstalled from the App Store. This fixed it for me. App-about shows that it’s version 5.2 released Nov 4. I’m running iOS 17.7.1 I have arlo pro systems in 3 buildings, and can control the mode in all 3 again without logging out and logging back in to each’s master account. Shared family members fixed too. Finally!

I originally tried the above suggestions with no luck, even with the app and iOS up to date. This morning I checked, and I was back online! As a note, it took deleting and reinstalling the app three times, and about 24 hours after the last delete and reinstall for it to start working again.

The various methods by which people get this feature restored instills very little confidence, in me at least, that the fix is permanent and we won’t see it, or some other mysterious bug from Arlo sometime in the future.

I have not updated the app because the history states "Note: These updates are only for Arlo Secure App experience with "Feed" and will be gradually rolled out."
We have the App that has Devices | Library | Mode | Settings

I have an iPhone 8, iOS 16.7.10, and Arlo 5.2. No place in my Arlo app does it say “Feed.” It says “Library.” My shared ability to change the Mode mysteriously reappeared yesterday without me doing anything.

I also can't access the modes to "arm" or "disarm" the cameras. This is only happening on my iPhone 15 Pro which is operating on IOS 18.1, App version 5.0.5, released October 15, 2024. I'm able to "arm" and "disarm" using my iPad Pro operating on IOS 17.7.1, same App version. My wife is also able to "arm" and "disarm" on her iPhone 15 Max, same version. This only happened after updating to version 5.0.5. I'm able to view all the cameras and receive camera alerts on my iPhone 15 Pro just not able to "arm" or "disarm".
My wife is the primary on the account. I have done all the reset, delete and reload, log out, log in, cancel sharing and reinstalling it and nothing seems to work. See pics below for further.

I believe it is fixed in the 5.2 version of the app.
A workaround is for you to use your wife's account credentials on your phone (sharing the same login).

You need the new app 5.2 but may need new iOS, and it’s mainly been impacting non primary users who share access to base stations and has been since ios18 release in early October

OK, so just have the 2nd phone delete old Arlo app and install the latest version of it?
Or, do both phones have to do so?
Thanks!

I did the IOS and App update on all our phones but only had to delete and reinstall the app on the ones where it wasn't working (hubby and son).
I must confess to waiting to see if it worked for them before doing mine and I was still ok and didn't have the fault. I certainly didn't want to do anything that may have caused the fault but everything is all good for all of us (so far)

This is happening to me as well. My husband shared all of the cameras and the base station, but only the cameras show up in the shared devices list. The base station is listed as offline so I can’t arm/disarm the system. On the most recent version and have tried all other ideas to reset.

5.2??? or something a bit older? Arlo's app updates are staggered, so you might not see 5.2 in the app store yet.

The workaround is that you can just use your husband's login info on your phone. In many respects that is better than sharing the cameras.
