I have a few questions;

I am currently using the vmb3000 base station and am looking at switching to the vmb5000 because it has an sd card slot and I want to be able to review activities on 5 cameras. I do not want to subscribe to a plan,

My understanding is that, with the proper settings -

I can view history or activities on the app, but only when my phone is on the same Wi-Fi as the base station. In, other words, when I'm home.

If I'm remote, local recordings will not appear in the app.

 Is this correct?

2nd question -  Regarding how many cameras I can view.

I've read many comments but I'm still confused.

IF I wanted to be able to view say, 9 cameras, is that where, absent a plan,  I would need 2 seperate accounts? Does that mean I'd have to log out of 1 account and log in to the 2nd account to see the activity on the other 4 cameras?

3.  Currently, I have to log in to the app everytime I want to view live video.  Is there a way to "stay" logged in so I don't have to log in every time I want to see live feed?

Thank you in advance.

Almost. You can set up port forwarding or a VPN on your router so remote access is possible. Either of those options is effectively putting your phone on your home network so access to the hub is available. Not hard but that some configuring on the router.

It doesn't matter if you're not going to buy a subscription. 1 account is all that's needed.

Sure - just don't log out. If you want notifications you need to remain logged in regardless - just background the app. The app will open where you left it when you want to use it for any reason.
