Problems with software update on iPhone. Potential fix using iTunes.

I was having problems also and constantly checked for a software update through the settings on my iPhone that repeatedly indicated that I had the most recent update installed. Decided today to try restoring my iPhone (after trying everything else) and when I plugged it in to my computer and went to iTunes....the page immediately indicated that an IOS update was needed!  After downloading that update by way of iTunes everything appears to be working as it should!
