There is a small threaded insert on the back of the camera body which allows the camera to be mounted on a stand. Mine is missing and I can't use the camera without this cheap part which must cost two cents. It appears to have simply been pressed into the plastic case. It must have fallen out at some point. Where can I get a replacement or do you know a hack to get it mounted w/o this part?

There are no replacement parts available ( unless maybe a broken camera from someone )
What you can do it take any standard camera mount and using two part expoxy like JB weld or similar and fill the hole in camera and insert the threaded section of mount into epoxy/hole. Let set up it will be strong enough for weight.
Just that you now need to use that mount
Have done this myself.
