HI all 1. I was wondering why Arlo Pro needs a separate Hub. Could Orbi router not manage the cameras? 2. I have a Lima Cloud attached to a harddisk. Is it possible to save recordings here instead of having to got through provider Cloud? Best regards

Hi.
Not sure what the rationale is when the Arlo Q connects directly to the wifi router but no, there is currently no router that can manage the Arlo / Pro / Pro 2 cameras. We used to be able to with a certain Nighthawk but that functionality was removed long ago. You must use a base station.
At this stage, you can only record to the Arlo cloud, or the Smartthings cloud if you use SHM, and/or the USB drive inserted in the back of the Pro /2 base station
