No switch to allow push notifications when I go to profile. Is this why my cameras are not recording?

No. Push notifications are set in your modes and rules. Read the FAQ in the support section here for details on modifying existing modes/rules as well as creating your own custom ones. The active mode is also the one that (dis)allows recordings, according to the settings in each camera's rule.
