I have a arlo base station Model VMB4000 and I need to add a new arlo camera. What camera will I need to buy that will work with my existing base station?

The pro2 cameras were the last model to qualify for the 7days free cloud storage service, all later models require a paid subscription to access Arlo’s cloud storage services.

Additionally, most of the new cameras can be connected to the base (not any of the Essential Gen. 2 ones, though, for the moment). As noted above, they would need a subscription for cloud recordings after the trial sub expires.

I have that same base station (VMB400) that I purchased with the Pro2 cameras back in mid 2018. My base station wasn't working anymore (I think it got damaged when I moved), so I called Arlo, and they no longer sell that base station, but I was told that my Pro2 cameras WOULD work with the updated version of that base station, which is their  VMB4540 model.  I'm trying to determine if I should just buy the new base station (it's around $100), and keep my old cameras, or just replace the whole thing. I did buy their Essential Indoor Camera 2nd generation (wired, 2k with night vision and 2-way audio), but the connectivity isn't consistent.  Also, I find that when I zoom in on night vision videos, the picture looks really, really pixelated. (Just as an FYI, in case you might consider these for an indoor camera)
