Motion detection notifications are over 10 minutes delayed. How to fix?

What is wrong with my camera and how do I fix it? I get motion notifications over 10 minutes late. It is scary that that much time passes before I know. Please help me fix this.

This may be down to the speed and quality of your internet service, in which case there isn't much that you can do about it.
