Is it possible to select which cameras one wants to receive notifications from?
It seems like a big flaw in the product is not being able to use zones on battery. But one camera is catching every car that passes by. Can I deactivate notifications for this camera only?

Look into "rules". You can tweak each one to alert as you like.

What are modes and rules and how does Arlo use them?

Look at the rule that triggers that camera to record when it detects motion, and then tell it not to send an alert.

The reason you can't use zones is battery life. The battery can not handle constant  zone monitoring more  than a few days.

Actually you can if you have a paid subscription for the camera.  When the camera is on battery, the video is still streamed to the cloud when motion is detected.  The cloud then applies the activity zone (ignoring detected motion that is outside the zone).

This will reduce notifications, but can't improve battery life.
