Is it possible to select which cameras one wants to receive notifications from? It seems like a big flaw in the product is not being able to use zones on battery. But one camera is catching every car that passes by. Can I deactivate notifications for this camera only?

Actually you can if you have a paid subscription for the camera. When the camera is on battery, the video is still streamed to the cloud when motion is detected. The cloud then applies the activity zone (ignoring detected motion that is outside the zone).
This will reduce notifications, but can't improve battery life.
