Howdy, I have read conflicting reports about activity zones and cost. Some state activity zones are free with the Pro 2 and basic plan. Some state you need to purchase a monthly plan, and you can setup 3 activity zones per camera. Blink XT has free activity zones, but no local storage. I would really like to know are activity zones free or not before I buy. Thanks for your time -terry

Zones are available for free on the Pro 2 as long as it's AC-powered. Battery-powered cameras require the Smart paid subscription.

Does using Arlo solar panels count as "AC powered"?

No. The solar panels are only trickle chargers to keep the battery topped off. Cloudy days and night would be a problem anyways.

The feature exists at a technical level when on battery. However it is only enabled when paying a monthly fee, correct?
