If I have more than 5 cameras and don't purchase upgrade, can I still save on local storage?

I am aware that Arlo provide free 7 days of cloud storage for 5 cameras.  However, if I have more than 5 cameras and did not want to purchase the upgrade for cloud storage, would I still be able to store the notifications in the local usb storage (for the 6th camera)

No. That's due to the 6th camera not being able to be selected for use. You need to either subscribe to the Premier plan or set up a second account using a second email address.
