I have since returned home, but they were both offline for 4 plus days.
I would like to solve the issue in case it happens again.

Very good idea. I'd like to add my name under this.

Do you know if you happen to have an internet outage or power outage in your home/area during this time?

There were no power outages or internet issues while we were away.

Thanks for the update, if it occurs while you are home we can investigate this further. I have seen some users recommend a switch to cycle their power on and off for a given accessory.

If the system goes down while I'm home it can be fixed.
My question is how do I resolve the issue and re-connect while I'm away.
The system becomes useless and that is not what I want or need. This effectively makes the equipment paper weights.

If the base station or Smart Hub is in an offline state, it will need to be manually rebooted if a restart within the app device settings does not resolve the issue.
