Hi @ShayneS and @BrookeN

I was wondering if the issue of the high contrast can please be resolved? I don't think Support understand (or want to understand) what I'm talking about, so your help is really the last resort.

The issue here isn't just the settings. Recorded videos are ok when there's no sun shining, but as soon as that happens - and this may be related to the position of the camera - red and brown turn into white. This was previously a problem on Ultra and Pan and Tilt (now resolved), but now seems to be affecting Pro 2, too. This isn't a problem with hardware, but software. WHat's your contrast like Stephen and Jeff @StephenB and @jguerdat ?

Thank you!

The only one I have a contrast issue with is an indoor camera shooting through a 2nd story window with a screen. The sun hitting the screen screws everything up but it's basically overexposed, not a color shift. No other cameras have the sun in view.

FYI, I only have one Pro 2 camera in use.  It is aimed outward from the house, with a neighbor's fence (about 7 feet high) in the background.

Most of the time, the contrast is fine.  At some times of day, the background (upper story of my neighbor's house) is overexposed.  That's not a big issue for me, since the area of interest is my own property.

Thanks @StephenB and @jguerdat . You're correct @StephenB that most of the time contrast is fine on Pro 2, but only certain times it's not: in my case, it's very sunny or bright days, where some areas show in recordings and in live view as overexposed. Additionally, in video settings, video is overexposed, as in my original post. So, two problems here.

So, it's an issue that affects multiple users @ShayneS and @BrookeN  and multiple camera types. I had already raised this issue in relation to pan and tilt. Why are the team not checking, as part of their testing that top level support assured me of on a number of occasions, if issues affect a specific camera or multiple, just in case.

I could understand problems with the app being at its launch. Years later, and the conclusion here is that clearly something is not working at Arlo for us to have to put up with this unfinished and problematic app.

Just to be clear: pitch black indeed.

Not sure why there aren't two settings: one for daytime and the other for night-time anyway.

I have all my pro2 camera's video brightness set to above default to be able to resolve night vision properly. This results in the outside daytime video to be overexposed during the majority of daylight hours.

This was identified to Arlo may years ago but was never picked up by them as a concern. The suggestion of seperate brightness settings for night and day is a great suggestion although it was also ignored.
