My VMC Camera Worked Until a Week Ago

My model was in the subject ...VMC3030.  I cannot tell you the firmware, but the Hardware is H11 and the serial number starts with 4WA16C7.  I really don't know the name of the camera.  I'm sure I bought it from Amazon, but that is all I know.  I have bought a lot of them from Amazon.   Location is Home, but was used at the Back Door.  It worked fine untel about two days ago, but after I reached up to get the model number after removing the batteries, it never worked again.

I got as much online help as I could and when I finally talked to a person, they told me this model was end-of-life, so they could not help me with getting it to work again.  The bot didn't seem to see it that way.  It also told me I didn't need a plan to get it to work, which is what my app was telling me.   I have spent hours trying to make it work as I have two of this model and  really liked them.  I just bought rechargable A123 batteries from Amazon, which should arrive today.  This happened, of course, between the time I ordered the batteries and now.

Has anyone else had this problem and found a way to still use them even if it means getting a "plan"?  I have spent too much time on this and am getting a little frustrated.  The new ones are too expensive and it is hard to tell how old they are.  If I get new ones, I want them to last!

What happened when you closed the battery door after inserting batteries? The LED on the front should briefly show blue, indicating power has been supplied. A common issue is that the user will push the batteries down into their slots which can prevent the door from making contact. Simply place the batteries in their slots and let the door do the pushing.

I hope you purchased the Arlo-certified Tenergy rechargeable batteries and not some cheap off-brand. We went through a lot of trouble early on figuring out what rechargeables were appropriate since many were labeled as being >2000mAH, which isn't possible in that size. A more accurate capacity is around 750mAH. Als, some/many cheap batteries don't have the over-current/over-charging protection built-in and have led to camera fires when they overheated.
