Have 3 Arlo Pro 2 cameras and 1 base station. I want to have camera on Drive all the time. Have one to rear and one inside to be on at night. But also want to use geofencing so all on when away from home. Not sure how to set up Modes to cover all these options. Advice would be appreciated. Thanks

You don't need a "when c1 or c2 triggers" do X and Y

Instead you use two rules in the mode:

  • when c1 triggers do X and Y
  • when c2 triggers do X and Y

Start by the schedule you need when you are home.

You need a custom mode that turns on just the one camera, and leaves the other two off.  I'll call it "single".

Then set a schedule that enable the "armed" mode when you want all cameras on, and the "single" when you just want the one camera.  This schedule does what you want when you are home.

Now add geofencing.  The "away" mode in geofencing is set to "armed".  The "home" mode is set to scheduled.

I have managed to set up three modes for when home.  One for the front camera, one for the rear of the house and one for internal.  I have then tried to set a schedule for each mode.  But it does not seem to be saving all of the schedules and only seems to want to have one mode schedule on at a time. It does not allow for an overlap of modes.  Please help how to save different schedules for each mode.  Thanks

There are a wide variety of FAQs here that explain a lot of things including modes, rules and schedule.

The idea is to create enough modes to cover every eventuality. Each mode will have rules for as few as 1 camera up to as many as you have. That way the mode that has only the cameras of interest are placed in the appropriate time slots in the schedule. So, overnight you may want all cameras armed so schedule that mode from, say, 10 PM to 11:59 PM and then 12 AM to 6 AM. During the day you may not want the interior camera armed so schedule the mode that has the other cameras  armed.

Ok great, now got modes set up by the time of day, ie day time and evening.  Just not sure now how to set up one of the modes to have 2 out of the 3 cameras to be "trigger" cameras.  Is this possible? Only seem to be able to have one trigger and then use the rules to have a second record at the same time.  Ideally want a mode where either camera at the front or the back can trigger.

Also cant find the FAQs mentioned, can you post the link? TIA
