I am considering purchasing a tablet to use as a "console" for my Arlo Pro 2 system. The cheapest quality solution would look to be a Kindle Fire Tablet, but I am not sure if the Arlo app truly runs well on that system as it is not 'true' Android. I found another thread that said it worked except for audio notifications, but that was from almost a year ago. Have there been any updates? Has anyone used a Fire Tablet successfully with the Arlo app and recevied notifications?
Or does anyone else have a good suggestion for another cheap tablet solution. that works well The 7" Fire tablet is available for about $50.

I have an older Kindle Fire... for the first two years of arlo , it worked fine and then the sw was change and it was no longer supported... so be careful of buying a Kindle for this.
Look for a true android tablet running ( IIRR ) better than 4.4 OS
