Hi there,
I have had this problem for a long time and tried getting help on it before... I'm returning to this again in a hopes that someone has fixed the problem.
I have a combo of Arlo pro and pro 2 and I use a Samsung with my wife.
The location settings only change when the app is physically open on either of our phone. It also sometimes doesn't recognize my phone even when the app is open... Despite my phone being the primary.
I have already enabled the location exceptions for Arlo.
Please help out! These cameras weren't cheap and they have never really worked well

This sounds like an issue with power saving on your mobile device. Check your power management settings and be sure the device isn't putting the app to sleep after it has been idle for a period of time.
