Do The Arlo Pro 2 Features Work With The Solar Panel?

I am looking at getting a Pro 2 camera for my drive instead of the pro that's already there. This is because of the extra features when it's plugged in, but does it work using the solar panel or does it have to be mains?

The solar panel is basically just a trickle charger and won't provide enough current to activate the extra features. It will have to be AC-powered.
