My Arlo pro2 outdoors does not record in the evening

Verify the mode for nighttime has an appropriate rule for the camera. You may want to increase the motion sensitivity. Test it yourself to see what happens - move closer to the camera, side to side, and slowly work your way farther away to see where detection stops.
