Hello All

Would either the Arlo team or the community please update on whether legacy products like Arlo HD, Pro 2 etc are EOL in the UK/the EU etc., and whether it's the case for Base Stations etc. I feel there is a lot of confusion, misinformation about this. How does this affect firmware updates to the last available firmware for that device. I feel this policy is very fluid/unclear and if I don't get the clarification, I'll have no option but to seek a clear answer from the senior management team at Verisure, as there doesn't seem to be another way of contacting Arlo otherwise.

Thank you for any input.

For more information on the Arlo End of Life Policy, see here: https://kb.arlo.com/000063018/End-of-Life-for-Arlo-Legacy-Cameras-and-Arlo-Services

As mentioned in the article above, this policy does not apply to EU/UK regions. I encourage you to reach out to Verisure support in your region for additional clarification about legacy products being supported there.

Thank you @JamesC

Can I please then have firmware pushed to my two Pro 2 to have them updated to 1.125.17.1_11_de8490d?

(They both sit at 1.125.14.0_34_1189.)

If there's an issue with firmware updates, as seems to be the case for some users, can we have an estimated time for fixing it? (3 months? 6 months?)

I've not tested with my other Ultras yet that have some older firmware.

I don't have any answers but I have 5 Pro 2 cameras in the UK. All are running 1.125.17.1_11_de8490d.

Hello JamesC,

I am in a dilemma.  I have an Arlo Q that was never set up.  I had a recent car break-in that I wanted to point this camera out the window to detect movements.  I was told that this camera was associated with another account that I have no connection with.  I bought this on Amazon years ago, but never had the need to use this before then.  I tried contacting customer service to disassociate(unbind) this, but due to EOL, I was told to buy the new essential cameras, which I did.  However, for some reason, when the new essential cameras are pointed out a window, they do not detect any movement.  Is there anyway to save this Q?  Q cameras are ok to point out the window and detect movement.

Any help is very much appreciated.

Thank you,

Glen

Did you purchase an indoor essential model?  Or one of the outdoor models?

Hello,

When I spoke to the sales person at Arlo, I was told to buy Essential Pan Tilt Indoor (2025 Release) or the Essential (3rd Gen – 2025 Release),  which I bought both, and neither detected movement when I placed them in front of the window.

Could you start a new topic, rather than hijack this one about firmware updates? Thanks.
