Any negative effects of leaving battery in charging long term? Shorten battery life?

The engineering team of Arlo already reviewed this kind of set up. They said that both the Arlo Pro camera and charging cradle have safety mechanisms in place designed to prevent battery damage/overcharging when left on the charger. Users should not experience any issues leaving a charger connected to the camera or the charging cradle while a battery is inserted.
