At night the IR light comes on but all you can see is a white fog. Checked the lens changed the battery. Not sure what to do

We actually pulled our silicone skin off of it and it is now working great! Problem solved!

Screenshots of both day and night views would be useful. It may be moisture on the lens or the IR is reflecting from a nearby surface, "blinding" the camera.

Well, definitely not a nearby object. I believe the issue is the distance - the IR LEDs won't light up large areas. There may also be dew on the lens exacerbating the issue. What happens if you turn on any outdoor lights and record?
