Arlo Pro 2 cameras--End of life? Only 2 years old!

Hi, I was thinking of adding another camera to our Pro 2 cameras  & hub. As I understand it a Pro 3 will connect to the hub? The other big issue I see is end of life is planned for the Pro 2 Jan. 1, 2024?? That's outrageous unless I am reading this wrong. I  just purchased this 3 cameras system for just under $500.00 Dec. 2021! Not cheap. Tell me this true or not.

The EOL date for arlo pro2 is correct according to arlo.

So you saying I will need to ditch a perfectly good system & purchase new cameras etc before Jan. 1, 2024? If I do you can bet they won't be Arlos. Never dealt with a company that would do this. Ever!

They will stop updating firmware on that date, and you will need a subscription to get cloud storage.

The cameras should still work for a while, but if Arlo needs to make a cloud change that requires new camera firmware, then likely they will stop working.

So you won't have to toss it before or at the EOL date.
