We have 4 Arlo Pro 2 cameras and they are offline and saying we need a subscription to use our cameras. It was my understanding that you can still use these cameras without a subscripton.
Could someone please let us know what is going on with these cameras? This just recently happened with in the last2 weeks.
Thanks

There's been a couple of other users reporting this. @JamesC said Arlo was investigation on another thread.

snowangel123,
If the cameras are showing offline, that could indicate a different issue. Are you able to provide a screenshot of what you're seeing in the app?

Actually the message says they are INACTIVE and require a subscription. Happened to me when power cycled in the house and the base station reset.

Solved for me (were INACTIVE not offline):
We had the same error message saying our cams were inactive and needed a subscription, after a base station power reset a few weeks ago. We have ARLO PRO and PRO 2s that should not need a subscription to activate.
We removed the Base Station, and re-added it and all of the CAMS (we have 4 wireless) and voila.. all is good.
Note: after the base station is "re-discovered" and added, you can re-add your cams by simply clicking SYNC on the base station for 2 -seconds until the SYNC light (right) blinks and then bring the cam within 2 feet of the base station and click SYNC on the CAM for 2 seconds. When the blue light stops blinking, it should be added under the base station.
I will add this post to a few threads since I see so many are still having this issue. TECH SUPPORT, feel free to add to or revise these instructions to help those that need this fix.
ARLO has honestly been a great product and I would hate to think about replacing our rather large investment with a lower quality product. If you can afford the monthly fee and new equipment, I HIGHLY suggest it.
