Just purchased my Pro system to upgrade my original Arlo system 6 months ago. Besides the upgraded resolution is it safe to assume the pro and pro2 are basically the same? Will any of the upgraded features of the pro2 system come to the pro through firmware or software upgrade or will Netgear force the consumer to buy the pro2 to get those features?

Highly unlikely that P2 features will be added to the Pro for various reasons, from hardware to marketing.
