Hey Guys, I have Arlo Pro 2 cameras 2 of. When I have the camera running on battery on front of my house looking out to the Road and footpath I get a lot of alarms for the vehicles driving past yet it won’t detect humans at that distance, if I were to run power to the camera and use a hotspot over the gate way which is at about 12 metres from the camera would it detect motion of humans more reliable ?

Remember that the PIR ( that detects ) is good for a max of about 25 ft for people.... cars reflect IR so they can be detected at a greater distance.
I recommend that you eliminate the roadway from the cameras view and concentrate on the people... this will allow a better fine tuning of the sense level and eliminate a lot of false triggers

Ok thanks , with that in mind, is there a way I can program the cameras so that when motion is detected on one camera it activates both cameras and saves footage from both

Yup. Create a custom mode (check the FAQs here) and set rules:
cam1 detects, cam1 records
cam1 detects, cam2 records
cam2 detects, cam1 records
cma2 detects, cam2 records
