How does the base station differ on the Arlo Pro 2? Is it any different at all - i.e. is it just the cameras that are different?

I was communicating with Netgear support earlier today and they confirmed the Arlo Pro and Arlo Pro 2 systems use the same base station.
So it is only the actual cameras which have been upgraded from the Pro to Pro 2 versions.
I asked if it was possible to purchase the Arlo Pro base station and buy separate Arlo, Arlo Pro and Arlo Pro 2 cameras and mix and match my configuration. They said what I thought, that it was perfectly fine and the base station from the Pro and Pro 2 were the same.
