The camera that I want to set an active zone is 50 ft away. I can I do this if there is only a 2 ft of hardware cable? Something isn't right unless I have to have the camera hardwired to set the zone I don't want to subsribe to do this.

Hey OlderDad,
In order to use the activity zones, your Arlo Pro 2 camera must be plugged in to a power source. You can read more about it here: What are activity zones and how do I create them?

Sorry but you didn't understand my question. So I will be a little more specific. If I don't have any subscriptions then how can I connect the cable if the camera is 50 feet or more away?

The settings on the device (camera) says:
:To enable Activity Zones, please connect your device to AC power. You can still edit, add or remove at any time.:
