Hello, I have 2x Arlo PRO 2 and a doorbell which I bought specifically because there is no subscription needed. Now the app is nagging me to upgrade to the new Arlo secure app.
My question is, if I do the upgrade will Arlo force me into getting a subscription? Because I don’t want that.
Tia for your reply.

No it won't. However, the new interface (called "Feed") is quite different and has some flaws.
- Feed has no custom modes. You can modify the three built in modes (arm home, arm away, and standby), but you cannot add new ones This limits the scheduling you can set up, since you only have 3 combinations to work with.
- The combination of scheduling and geofencing doesn't quite work. You can't get the system to automatically and immediately follow the schedule when you arrive home. You sometimes need to adjust the mode manually.
Hopefully Arlo will roll out improvements to fix these issues in "Feed" soon.
Anyway, if you use two or more custom modes, or combine scheduling with geofencing, then you might want to ignore the nags for now.
