We have a total of 8 Arlo cameras (mix of Pro and Pro 2 HD) that have been working perfectly for the past couple of years until last week. We pay for the enhanced smart notifications. 5 of the cameras are located outdoors, 3 are indoors. We have custom modes setup that only alert for the 5 outdoor cameras - full outdoor perimiter mode is used when we are at home but staying indoors. Another custom mode that only alerts when a car or person comes up the driveway but doesn't alert when we are sitting on the back deck or walk out the front door. We use smart notifications to filter out false alams for wildlife or the dogs running around the yard while outdoor modes are enabled. It's worked beautifully for years until last week when we started getting alerts for devices that are not part of all of the various custom modes (driveway only, full outdoor paremeter, outdoor except back deck, driveway and garage cam only).
Starting last week, cameras not included in the custom modes have been alerting. For example, with the outdoor camera only mode "full outdoor paremiter" we are getting alerts from all of the inside cameras the same as if the system was set to "armed". Even sound is setting the alarm off and we don't have sound detection feature enabled on any of the cameras. We have to completly disarm the system while at home because of us being in the house is setting off the alarm even though the indoor cameras are not included in any of the custom "outdoor only" camera modes.
Again the system was working perfectly for years and nothing has changed with the modes. I've attempted setting up a new custom mode but the same issue is occuring. I included just one of the cameras in the new mode, enabled the new mode however motion (and sound which we don't use) on the other cameras not included in the mode is setting off the alarm.
Any ideas what is causing the system to be "all or nothing"? Its like the custom mode feature is now completly broken. Only "armed" or "disarmed' really does anything.
Thank you!
Brian

Quick update, in Smart Alerts I unselected "Smoke/CO Alarm" for all the indoor cameras and it seems to have stopped the false triggering of the indoor cameras when only the oudoor ones are selected. Not sure what change that is causing basic motion / voices to trigger with the Smoke/CO alerm option enabled but disabling it seems to have put a band-aid on the issue.

Thank you! At the same time as yours started acting up, mine did the same thing. Arlo customer service was nonexistent / useles. Happy to put a bandaid on for now … appreciate you offering that. Arlo— get it together.

I had the same issue with almost the same history. Worked like a charm until a few weeks ago. Arlo broke something on their side.
I looked in my smart notifications. The smoke/CO alarm option was already "off." The option for "all other audio" as a trigger was ON. Turning OFF the "all other audio" trigger for the interior cameras (not included in the custom mode) fixed the issue.
Customer service was useless.
Thanks for the info.
