I am new here and to the security camera usage. I recently purchased Arlo Pro 2 with 4 cameras. They were easy to set up and work ok for live streaming. However when I get any movement alert, its extremely delay, for example, if i walk past the camera, the video that gets recorded is almost near the end of me (or moving object) being in view of the camera. Is this normal. I dont see the object walking into view. I think if that is the case it is pretty useless. If someone walks towards the camera, i would like to get the video of the face, not the back when hes walking past the field of view.

Is there any setting to fix the recording? I have check with on all 4 camera and its the same. I checked my network (fios gig) speed, with the basestation placed right next to the router and hardwired. Also the network speed to the camera is almost perfect.

Any advise would be appreciated

Hi @shirazhanif

I would suggest to move the router a little further from the base station & see if that helps. Is it possible to provide a screenshot from the cameras current position? Have you tried to raise the sensitivity of the camera?

Hi @ShayneS

Here is the video, i will provide the pic of the camera when i get back home

As you can see the fox starts in the middle of the scene, how did it get there? why didnt the camera pick up the fox when it first came into the pic?

Also im not sure how the move the base station away from the router would help? Its hard wired and about 2 feet away.

Can you advise how to raise the sensitivity of the camera? I have not changed the video settings or activity zone, which is left at full view

Here is an alternate video.  The delivery person what up to my door before i got alerts.

Hi @ShayneS

It seems my first reply didnt post or i didnt save it.

But here are some example videos

As you can see, first with with the fox in my pool area, the video starts when hes almost out of frame.

The second video of the delivery person, who is almost at my door before it starts to capture.

Also i m not sure how moving the base station away from the router will help, its hard wired and about 2 feet away.

As far as the settings, I left the activity zone and video setting to default and i m not sure how to change the sensitivity.

Thanks for your time and assistance.

Thank you for the photos. If possible can you screenshot the live view from the Arlo app as well?

For the front door camera, I would suggest pointing the camera a little more downwards.

I have provided an article with information regarding optimal camera positioning. How do I position my Arlo wire-free camera?
