I'm trying to access my account. Each time I try to get on, there is a TEXT code sent to my email account. I can't access it as I don't receive texts via email, only by cell phone. Is there a way to get around this? I'm just trying to fire up my system, no luck so far. Is there a way in which to change the preferred communications from tablet to phone?

It is an email, not a text.

 

The simplest way to get past this during setup is to access your account on the phone while near a PC.  Then get the email on the PC, and enter the code.

 

After that, you can trust the phone, so it will not send codes again.

 

(You can also enable SMS as an authentication method if you like).

no success yet but still working at it. I have email on my tablet. now I'm in the process of setting up my tablet to receive text messages (a mirror of the cell phone) sent to my email. if this works then I should be able to enter the code sent by Arlo to access the account. Arlo, for some reason, has my tablet as the preferred mode of contact. don't know where that came from, for sure it wasn't me.
