I have a plus unlimited subscription and right now I am using 4 Arlo Pro 2 cameras with the base. I want to add 2 more cameras to my system. Can I add WIFI cameras that do not use a base and will they work with my App? Does anyone have a suggestion on what model cameras I should use? I appreciate all the help I can get.

In the current lineup, you should pick either an Essential Gen 2 camera or a Pro 5s.  Both record in 2K.   Most specs are pretty similar - the main difference is that the Gen 2 has a 130 degree field of view, while the Pro 5s has a 160 degree field of view.  Motion detection range is spec'd at slighly less (25 ft for the Pro 5s, 23 ft for the Gen 2).

The XL Gen 2 (much larger battery) is currently about same price as the Pro 5s (both on sale), the regular Gen 2 is less expensive.

The downside is that the Gen 2 battery is not removable/user replaceable.  One implication is that you cannot reboot the cameras by removing/re-inserting the battery.  It also does not have a magnetic mount.

The downside of the Pro 5s is that quite a few users here have reported various issues with their cameras (not detecting motion, going off-line, etc).

FWIW, I happen to have both, and have not had significant problems with either.
