is the issue fixed?
I have been waiting for almost 2 years for arlo to fix it…
Is it still only way to create 2 account to link with device that not cover by verisure to get back the direct storage access view?
you can see below capture, even I updated to the newest version…there is still no option for local drive view.

What model base do you own? Look for a VMBxxxx label on it.

I've been using the "Feed" interface for a couple of years now, so my own screens don't match yours.
But I think you should be seeing a "Direct Storage Access" option on that screen.
I'm tagging the mods - @BrookeN , @JamesC , @ShayneS - to see if they can help.

The Direct Storage Access button is never appear in my Arlo app since day 1.
I have been told that it’s the bug if we use Verisure security plan…
for my case, Verisure provide me a arlo doorbell, and I bought my own base and 2 cam…
but all of the devices are linked to same account…
only the doorbell is under arlo subscription provided by Verisure…
the video capture from 2 cam I bought separately is stored in the smart hub with SD card, suppose I can view the record in arlo app… but it doesn’t…I can only check the record from the doorbell, if I need to check the record from 2 cam, I need to take out the SD card from the hub and check in my computer…
there is no choice for me in the library page to check the footage from the smart hub…

Interesting, since that is not an issue I've seen posted here before. I tagged the mods in order to get clarification on that.
You could potentially create a new account for the equipment you purchased, and then share the doorbell with that account using the "Friend" feature.
Then you should be able to access local storage using that new account. Configuring the doorbell would require using the current account, but you should be able to see recordings, etc without doing that.
